Now that we’ve heard about what publishers are looking for in your NetGalley profile, Dina is here to talk a bit more about the process of approving requests. I know that after requesting titles from the NetGalley catalog it’s exciting to get those “you’ve been approved” messages from the publishers. Dina is here to explain why you may sometimes have to wait longer than usual to receive that message, or why, in some cases, you may be declined.

NetGalley Requests and Patience
As the Director of School & Library Marketing for Disney Book Group, I do oversee our presence on NetGalley, but it’s really a team effort. I work closely with our trade marketing, online marketing, publicity and editorial groups to choose which titles we post and when, what promotions we do, and who gets approved and declined.
